OVERDUE is about a group of PTA parents who accidentally get locked in their children's school library for a night. With no access to their kids or technology, they are forced to get to know each other. Secrets are revealed, stereotypes are broken, and unexpected friendships are formed.
OVERDUE was developed to entertain moms and create a platform for JCPenney to highlight key products, inspire holiday gift ideas and ultimately shift perception. The OVERDUE series included characters that the Awestruck audience could relate to-- millennial women who were aspirational, successful, friends, and most importantly -- relatable.
Featuring a cast of traditional actors and social media influencers, this short-form scripted comedy series centered around the drama and comedy that is rich in mom life. In the series, JCPenney was featured everywhere from the stylish cast to active call-outs for must-have gifts within the series and surrounding social content.
Overdue content received 2.3M Youtube views and 6.7M Facebook views averaging 4,100 engagements per videos (8.3x Awestruck benchmark) and an average view duration of 3:46 on Youtube.
